Book Description –

When a fiery meteor lands on the Somvanshi estate, Jay and his mentor Kaka are the first to find it, and Jay is mesmerized by the element he finds in the orb. Using his family-owned Vantra Labs, of which he is the CEO, Jay carries out extensive research into the material, along with his team of brilliant scientists. He names the material, the black element.

Little does he know the chain of events that he is about to set off. Directed by the strings of fate, Jay is heading towards the truth concealed in family legend and a prophecy that can be traced back to the times of the Mahabharata war.

When Jay realizes the supernatural possibilities that the black element is capable of, he is determined to use it for the greater good. But, as history has shown, when there is power in the wrong hands, greed takes prominence and compassion takes a back seat.

Amid a succession of heists, ploys, twists, tragedies and discoveries, will Jay be able to see the true picture? Will he understand the balance between fate and free will and how they can amalgamate to fulfil his purpose? Will he realize the prophecy? And is all of this simply history repeating itself?

My views –

The Descendants is a book that has a very captivating blend of science fiction and Indian mythology that will create a thundering story to hypnotize you from the first line till the very end.

In this book, the protagonist, Jay, is on a journey to discover the truth of a family legend and prophecy that will take you back to the times of the Mahabharata.

You will definitely appreciate the serious combination of the ancient legend with the current elements of science, where you get to see a journey from curiosity to determination in a well-crafted and narrative way.

There is also a mysterious substance and element of the plot that will introduce you to moving forward with some supernatural points within your mind.

Kaka’s mentorship is something that adds a lot of depth to the story, and this will also make the readers vividly imagine what someone does in that state. Its mythical aspects will take us ahead and make us deeply immersed in that universe.

I love how the authors explore the destiny versus free will that the characters engage in. While it also adds complexity due to its connection with the Mahabharata, which is something that kept me engaged till the last age,.

You can definitely imagine what is going on, and it will create an imaginary picture in your head of those moments that you will not be able to forget for a long time.

I also loved how original and unique the concept of this book is. It is a blend of two different worlds but still keeps them apart as needed. You can vary among them and also transit between them in a very nice way, which gave me a soothing reading experience.

Overall, I think that if you want to read a story that will take you back in time and show you the power of choice and a person’s journey, then this book is the one for you. It is a treasure if you’re looking for a deep examination of fate, time, and decision-making!
